postheadericon The Use of Omega-3 Fatty Acids Reduce Cardiovascular Events

A report by an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Social Affairs issued noted that intake of omega-3 fatty acids in the diet of otherwise healthy adults, the risk for serious cardiovascular events was reduced by 25%. This study of 7625 participants and found the average attendance of more than 5 ¼ years. These participants were monitored for dietary intake of omega-3 fatty acids of vegetable origin, organic, wild caught fish and supplements of essential fatty acids. Food intake was either not reported, use moderate or heavy use. The participants were divided into groups according to their diet as a regional power in Asia, the Western diet and the Mediterranean diet.
